Ministry in Granite Shoals, Texas was wonderful. John Dean and I ministered for three days at Christ Redeemer Church. It was inspiring to preach to people who are hungry for the presence and the word of God. We were blessed with many testimonies of the work of the Holy Spirit.
Jonathan Expands Online Ministry
Jonathan, our LDR intern, has initiated several online outreach groups. Over 500 individuals showed interest in joining these online groups to practice English and have conversations. Jonathan ended up scheduling approximately 150 participants across multiple sessions that he leads on a weekly basis. The internet breaks distance barriers. Participants are involved from Europe, Asia and South America!
Jonathan views this as an outstanding opportunity to engage with the lost, foster relationships, and ultimately share the gospel. In Jonathan’s own words, after leading these sessions for a month, “The online harvest is plentiful, but the online laborers are few! I believe that the Lord is opening up new frontiers in missions, and they are different from the ones we’ve been used to.”
Staying Local, but Going Global
Even a protective boot cannot keep me down! I had a procedure done on my right foot a couple of weeks ago. Since then, I have been wearing a boot and have been pretty much restricted to home. Ministry continues. Tuesday, I met with pastors in Manila, with business leaders in London. Tuesday and Wednesday I taught the Discover Your Leadership course for AIM Institute. Wednesday evening, I preached to 27 pastors in India. Thursday, I met with an eldership team in Pennsylvania and Friday I completed my 2 year term as the board chairman for the Greater Hagerstown Committee. Every day, I have had quality meetings with the LDR Intern, Jonathan Taniegra. And of course hours are invested in admin every day.
